The Rand Ecliptic was not a lucky ship for the Empire. Home to no less than three Rebel cells, and captained by a Rebel agent, it was a ship ripe for a mutiny. The seeds of the infamous Rogue Squadron were planted aboard this ship when the pilots Biggs Darklighter and Hobbie Klivian used TIE Fighters from its complement to steal prototype X-wing starfighters from an Empire-controlled Incom factory.
