With no need for living quarters or ship-wide life support systems, these were replaced with a stolen ion engine from a Nebulon-B frigate and three Quadex power cores, making the large ship as fast as Boba Fett's Slave I. IG-2000 was destroyed in a dogfight with Fett while trying to capture the carbonite-encased Han Solo in the bounty hunter's possession.
