Micro Machines :: Trilogy Gift Set (J.C. Penney Exclusive)
Trilogy Gift Set (J.C. Penney Exclusive) Card Back Description:
It all began a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. Continue to experience the struggle between the Rebel Alliance, defenders of justice, and the evil and corrupt Empire. Collect all of these authentic and detailed replicas of the original vehicles seen in the movies Star Wars: A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Take a closer look at the Star Wars universe. And may the Force be with you...
Thoughts:
When I purchased this item through eBay, I had no idea how big the box would be. With 10 vehicles in it that are the size of standard X-Ray Fleet vehicles I should have expected a bigger box, but I was unprepared for a box that was 30 cm (12 in) tall and almost 48 cm (19 in) long. While this box is big, it isn't excessively big for what it contains.

The major draw for this item is of course the X-Ray Fleet Imperial Shuttle Tydirium, which can not be found anywhere else. I got mine for a very reasonable price, but I have seen this item go for upwards of 50 or 60 dollars in the past. The shuttle has the same attention to detail that other vehicles in the X-Ray Fleet have. There are no moving parts, but a lot of technical details are shown through the clear plastic hull. In addition to this vehicle there are 9 other vehicles in this set, all in the same scale as the X-Ray Fleet, but these all have standard paint applications and deco. These are all well done and are in the same scale as the Die-Cast ships and the later Titanium Series, but they aren't from the same molds so there are some accuracy issues.

Overall I quite liked this set, but I definitely don't think it is worth as much as some people have spent on it.
