Micro Machines :: Droids
Droids Card Back Description:
It all began a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. These are authentic and detailed replicas of droids seen in the movies Star Wars: A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Droids are equipped with artificial intelligence, though some are created smarter than others depending on their primary function. They also are capable of locomotion, logic, sensory reception, manipulation and some form of communication. Continue the adventure with these exciting new Star Wars characters. And may the Force be with you...

B'omarr Monk
The spider-like B'omarr monk is a cyborg rather than a true droid. It spurns the physical world for inner contemplation. Enlightenment involves "liberating" the mind from the body. Thus it's brain is placed in a special life-support jar. The monk uses the spider body for conveyance on the rare occasions that it must travel.

EV-9D9
One of many droids under service to Jabba the Hutt. She was in charge of cyborg operations and oversaw all of the other droids in Jabba's crowded stables.

R5-D4
An astromech utility droid programmed in computer repair and information retrieval. It specializes in starship maintenance and can operate in hostile environments.

EG-6 Power Droid
A power droid is a mobile power generator. Carrying an energy-producing generator in its body, the droid is capable of locomotion on two thick articulated legs. Its primary function is to provide energy for ships, vehicles, mechanical devices and other droids.

Interrogation Droid
Terrifying droids designed by the Empire to question prisoners. They possess multiple appendages tipped with pain inducing tools. These tools allow them to use a variety of techniques, including torture and chemical injection.

IG-88
The IG line of assassin droids were programmed by Holowan scientists who maximized each droid's freedom of action and combat potential. When activated, five prototypes killed almost two dozen Holowans and escaped. A fearsome bounty hunter, IG-88 is the most notorious IG assassin droid.

8D8
The 8D8 series was designed to work in smelting factories. 8D8s are tough and rugged, and tend to be rather crude and simple in personality. They resent being inferior to droids with more capabilities and often bully them when they can.

LIN Demolitionmech Mining Droid
The demolition droid is used to lay and fire explosive charges in commercial mining operations. Its convex shell is plated with industrial durasteel and is designed to absorb the blast of a misfired explosive. Military models lay and defuse mines.

CZ-OR6
A secretary droid augmented with advanced communications packages. As a courier droid, its memory files possess advanced encryption algorithms, which make it a secure place to store sensitive files. These features make it popular with pilots, business beings, and criminal bosses alike.

Mouse Droid
A general purpose droid used by the Imperial Army and Navy. Effective, reliable and cheap, millions of mouse droids became fixtures in Imperial installations ranging from the most temporary company camp to any top secret project.

2-1B
One of the older, but most successful surgical droids. Simply-constructed, Too-Onebee droids possess uncanny perception and talent. They are sought after by military units. Many serve voluntarily with the Rebel Alliance.

FX-7
Medical assistant droid that aids surgeons, found mostly in service to the Rebel Alliance. Equipped with sophisticated appendages and programmed for medical diagnoses and procedures.

R1-G4
An ancient astromech droid that is outdated compared to the newer R2 astromechs. R1-G4 was claimed by Jawa scavengers when its owner, a smuggler, fled Mos Eisley after a run-in with bounty hunters.

WED-15 Treadwell
A wheeled, six-limbed droid skilled in menial labor. Can be programmed to perform many functions that require limited intelligence such as mining, salvage, transportation and sanitation.

4-LOM
Rogue droid with humanoid body and insectoid head. One of the bounty hunters contracted by Darth Vader to track down the Millennium Falcon and its crew after they escaped the Imperial assault on ice planet Hoth.

Death Star Droid 5D6-RA-7
Bought up by the Imperial Navy, RA-7 servant droids are customized to serve on the personal staffs of high ranking officers. Some officers regard the award of such a droid as an honor. Others believe the droids serve as spies for the Imperial Security Bureau to insure continued loyalty to the Emperor.
