With all of the locations that stormtroopers were found in the original Star Wars trilogy, Galoob could have chosen any of them and had a successful playset. The first Death Star seems to be the best choice of a location though because it and stormtroopers are both representative of the faceless might of the Empire.
The top most level is the TIE Fighter hangar where Darth Vader's TIE Fighter is secured to the roof. This is an odd choice because it is one of the few scenes represented with these playsets that was never actually seen in a movie, and yet it doesn't seem too out of place. Below this hangar is the prison corridor where Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Princess Leia hold off the Empire's troops before escaping through a garbage chute. If you press a figure through the trapdoor along the wall it will slide down a chute and emerge in the compactor that comprises the lowest level. The floor of the compactor has a small flip-up dianoga eyestalk that I believe is the smallest representation of a dianoga ever produced. With the turn of a dial, the walls of the trash compactor begin to close. How close together those walls get depends entirely on how sadistic you are.
This set is quite a lot of fun, even with the inclusion of a hangar bay for Darth Vader's TIE Fighter. A hangar bay for the Millennium Falcon may have been more suitable in my mind, but this toy works anyways, even with this.
