I can't remember if I ever saw this item in stores or not when it first came out, but I do know that I was passing on the repaints of items I already had at the time because I couldn't justify the extra money. Now it's off to eBay to find the things I missed out on.

For anyone who didn't already know, this toy is almost an exact copy of the Naboo Starfighter released in 1999. The differences I noticed were slight; there is a different trademark on the bottom of the two versions of the ship and this one has a "damaged" paint job. While it appears that this is the same mold used for the Galoob toy of 1999, I feel it is slightly inferior to the original due to a poor fit for the landing gear. The landing gear for the original is tight fighting and secure while the same parts on the reissue don't fit as tightly. As you move the parts they feel as if they are going to fall off. This toy could definitely have been better but I'm glad I got it.
