Series Alpha spotlights the designs of talented concept artists who have transformed George Lucas' imaginary galaxy far, far away into something believable and realistic. Their skill and imagination have brought to life the next generation of Star Wars with new heroes, evil villains, and amazing creatures and vehicles from Episode I. In each film of the Star Wars saga, the vehicles take on a commanding presence and offer an impression of technology yet to come. Series Alpha gives you a glimpse of the contribution from the imaginative artists and designers who refined and perfected rough sketches to create the vehicles and starships that fill the Star Wars universe. A booklet with their sketches is included in each package, along with the concept vehicle and its final design.

This early Naboo fighter was intended to be part of the Queen's royal fleet, similar to the X-wing starfighter as part of the Rebel Alliance fleet. I incorporated features common to the Queen's Royal starship while creating a unique shape. The fighter incorporates two types of wing configurations: the circular wing with gun mounts and the fuselage, which is actually designed like a wing.

Naboo Fighter
This single-pilot fighter is the signature ship for the volunteer Royal Naboo Security Force. Its sleek space frame reflects the Naboo people's love of elegant shapes. The defense system includes twin blaster cannons and a double magazine of proton torpedoes. "Rat-tail" finials are part of the customized engine system.
