Series Alpha spotlights the designs of talented concept artists who have transformed George Lucas' imaginary galaxy far, far away into something believable and realistic. Their skill and imagination have brought to life the next generation of Star Wars with new heroes, evil villains, and amazing creatures and vehicles from Episode I. May the Force always be with them!
In each film of the Star Wars saga, the vehicles take on a commanding presence and offer an impression of technology yet to come. Series Alpha gives you a glimpse of the contribution from the imaginative artists and designers who refined and perfected rough sketches to create the vehicles and starships that fill the Star Wars universe. A booklet with their sketches is included in each package, along with the concept vehicle and its final design.

The twin-pilot configuration is my tripute to the Bespin twin-pod cloud cars featured in The Empire Strikes Back. The concept took a different direction as George Lucas realized the droid fighter did not need robot pilots - it is a robot. D. Chiang

Trade Federation Droid Fighter Deployed from Trade Federation battleships, these non-piloted fighters are actually droids themselves. A continuous signal from the central control ship directs each one. The droid fighter can transform into walking mode via antigravity repulsors. In flight mode, retractable wings protect and conceal its laser cannon armaments.
