Long before the vehicles of the Star Wars saga entered into battle in a galaxy far, far away, concept artists illustrated many versions. For each film in the Star Wars trilogy, rough sketches for the vehicles were refined and perfected. Series Alpha gives you a glimpse of the imaginative contribution of these artists and designers. A booklet with sketches by the original artists is included in each package, along with the concept vehicle and its final design.
B-wing Starfighter as seen in Return of the Jedi.
The B-wing is the most powerful starfighter in the Rebel Alliance fleet. It was designed by Rebel Commander Ackbar along with an interplanetary team of engineers. This ship is incredibly difficult to handle, and only the Alliance's top-notch pilots can fly it. The B-wing plays a pivotal role in the Rebel victory at the Battle of Endor.
B-wing Pilot Only the top pilots in the Alliance can fly this hard-to-handle starfighter. B-wing pilots personally supervise each modification and repair to their ships.
B-wing Gunner (Concept Design Uniform) The B-wing gunner handles an impressive array of firepower in the two-person version of this superior starship.
