Long before the vehicles of the Star Wars saga entered into battle in a galaxy far, far away, concept artists illustrated many versions. For each film in the Star Wars trilogy, rough sketches for the vehicles were refined and perfected. Series Alpha gives you a glimpse of the imaginative contribution of these artists and designers. A booklet with sketches by the original artists is included in each package, along with the concept vehicle and its final design.
Imperial Shuttle as seen in Return of the Jedi
Lambda-class shuttles are used by the Imperial fleet to transport passengers and cargo across the galaxy. The shuttle is distinguished by its inverted-Y wing formation. The two lower wings fold up for landing. The Lambda-class shuttle can hold up to twenty passengers or eighty metric tons of cargo. It features three double blaster cannons, two double laser cannons and a hyperdrive for transport to other fleets and systems.
