Senator Bail Organa is enroute to Coruscant when his transport is attacked by pirates. The Jedi arrive with barely enough time to push the attackers back before they can finish him and his guards off. When he arrives on Coruscant, he finds that, day by day, the people of the Republic are giving up more and more of their freedoms. He resolves to make a stand against this but it's almost too late, as so many representatives are already held by Palpatine's charisma.
