Shortly after the Battle of Geonosis, Obi-Wan Kenobi is leading the defense of Kamino due to his relative familiarity with the planet. Unfortunately, he and Anakin Skywalker haven't had time to sit down and discuss recent events, so they are beginning to grow further apart at a time when they need to be growing closer together. As Quinlan Vos suggests, Obi-Wan needs to "choose" Anakin as his Padawan, instead of just looking at him as a responsibility he inherited from Qui-Gon Jinn.
