In his training, Clone Trooper CT-5539 meets an aberrant clone who takes the name Kaddak. Kaddak excelled at everything, but was unstable and violent, mutilating his own body and referring to his fellow clones as slaves. One day, Kaddak disappears and CT-5539 assumes that he has been terminated. In the height of the Clone Wars, CT-5539 is left for dead by the Jedi and the Republic troops. As he survives the wasteland, he takes the name Hock Malsuum and decides to work for the farmer who took him in.
