Waiting in a cantina on Quellor with her assistant Gorhan, Senator Leia Organa is informed that they can't wait any longer for her contact Rafe Ballon. Reluctantly she agrees and they head back to their ship, only to be accosted from out of the shadows by Rafe. Telling them that he is compromised, he passes on the information and prepares to disappear when Leia insists that he come with them for extraction.They leave the planet with no problems, but before they can enter hyperspace, they are approached by an Imperial Customs corvette. The Imperial captain contacts them to tell them they are transporting a known spy, and to hand him over. Knowing that they will never get away if they do so, they begin to flee. They are then attacked by the corvette who apparently doesn't know who they are. They put up a good fight, but when it becomes apparent that they won't make it, Rafe steals their escape pod and pilots it into the corvette's bridge, disabling it by sacrificing his own life.Leia returns to Alderaan and sits down with her father where he explains that Rafe's death isn't her fault and that if he hadn't sacrificed himself, the rest of them wouldn't have gotten away with the stolen data. Leia states that she will never stop trying to save everyone, to which Bail responds that Leia wouldn't be Leia if she did stop.
