The Han Solo Trilogy 1: The Paradise Snare (Pages 34-39)
Cover Artist: Drew Struzan
Working for Garris Shrike, Han Solo has graduated to burglary and petty theft. They are on Corellia and Han is having difficulty escaping from the house he has just robbed. He manages to escape through a window and runs until he finds a tall tree to climb, and then hides near the top until the chase dies away. Feeling progressively sicker, he returns to the shuttle where Shrike grudgingly grants him rest and he passes out. The first time he awakens, he overhears Dewlanna and Shrike arguing about how much care he needs. The second time he awakens, Dewlanna is taking him to the surface to see a medical droid, over Shrike's very strenuous objections. The next time he awakens he is in the medical droid's waiting room where the droid tells Dewlanna that Han has contracted Corellian tanamen fever and his case is quite severe. Han requires bacta immersion to save his life and so Dewlanna pays for it. Later, Shrike is furious at Dewlanna for going behind his back, the only thing that mollifies him is the value of one of the items Han stole. Of course it wasn't enough for Shrike to pay her back for Han's treatment.
