Cover Artist: Drew Struzan
The night before the attack, while the t'landa Til on Ylesia are being assassinated, Bria gets a message that the Empire has something big in the works and she is to take all that she can, She justifies it by saying that Han would understand, and goes back to sleep. The next day, with most of the t'landa Til dead, the assault begins. The battle is intense, but they are successful, but not without losses, including Jarik "Solo" who confesses to Han as he dies that he wasn't a Solo but Han tells him that he knew from the start and that as far as he was concerned, Jarik was indeed a Solo. In the mop up, Han and Bria go to collect Teroenza's treasure, but something doesn't seem right as Lando Calrissian and the other smugglers aren't going to pick up their share of the loot. Bria apologizes and explains that she has no choice. Han will still get his share of the treasure, and he decides to split it with Lando later. They go to collect the treasure and are stopped by Teroenza himself who holds them at gunpoint. Gloating, he prepares to kill them, but is himself killed by Boba Fett eho is fulfilling Durga's bounty. As Fett leaves, Han and Bria go to the treasure room where Han learns that not all is going to work out the way he hoped as Bria holds him at gunpoint and tells him that he should join her in the resistance. Han, his heart breaking, tells her to get away and if he ever sees her again he will shoot her. He and Chewie scour the compound for anything of value and Chewie finds some children and they make heir escape before the compound is destroyed. In the aftermath, Han gets a call from Jabba telling him to pick up a load of spice at Kessel. He does so and is chased by Imperials. He dumps the spice and records the location so he can come back, and when the Imperials are done they escort him to Corellia to drop off the kids he rescued. He and Chewie return to pick up their cargo but are unable to find it when they are chased by Imperials again. The make the Kessel run again, this time making it faster than anyone has ever done, even shaving distance off to make it in under 12 parsecs, but they still have to tell Jabba they lost his shipment. Jabba demands payment of the value of the spice, so Han goes looking for help from his friends. Lando is furious over what happened on Ylesia and tells him to never come near him again.
