Some time before his death on Sulon, Morgan Katarn is involved with hiding a group of pacifist Rebels. He chooses a world named Ruusan, that's not on the star charts, and while he is there he decides to take a sightseeing trip through the desert. While exploring, he encounters the planets native species that he nicknames bouncers, and once they get the trick of communicating, they ask if he is the knight sent to rescue the trapped souls. Following their directions, he finds a cavern filled with statues that he can tell through his weak sense of the Force is the source of great power and many trapped spirits. Leaving to return to his duties, he eventually meets a Jedi named Qu Rahn who vows to find out more, but before they can, Morgan is killed.
