Olag Greck arrives at Nar Shaddaa with the droids Unit Zed, R2-D2 and C-3P0 hot on his trail, and begs for asylum from his old friend and partner, Movo Brattakin. As Olag moves toward his rendezvous, Unit Zed resolves to not let him get away and begins firing on him, eventually bringing him down in Movo's hangar. While trying to apprehend Olag, Unit Zed first loses an arm and is then destroyed by Captain Jace Forno, who worked for Movo Brattakin until Olag's ship crushed him. She then shoots off C-3P0's leg and throws both groups in prison until things can be settled. While in prison, Movo's personal droid, B-9D7, visits R2-D2 and C-3P0, providing C-3P0 with a new leg and a distraction so they can escape to a droid barge and return to Kalarba. While they wait to board the barge, Olag and his henchman make their escape and run to Boonda the Hutt to make a deal. While the droids board, R2-D2 hears the crew talk about wiping the memories of all the droids on board, preparatory to stealing them, so he flees to find help while C-3P0 boards the ship. Before the memory wipe can happen, C-3P0 is supplanted by another personality who incites the droids to rebellion with talk that Boonda the Hutt is using them as bombs. R2-D2, who found help from B-9D7 catch up to the barge in time to help with the rebellion and arrive at Boonda's stronghold where they storm the castle. When C-3P0 and his crew reach the thronr room, they interrupt Boonda and Olag's negotiations, and B-9D7 comes over the communications system. He reveals the he is Movo, who was saved at the last minute by his faithful droid. He explains that he has bombs placed in hundreds of droids across the system, and he will use this to rule the system, but R2-D2 arrives at the ship in time to stop him, by stealing the ship and crashing it into Boonda's palace. In his anger, Movo threatens everyone around him, but he is killed by Jace Forno, who doesn't like taking orders from a droid. The rebellious droids escape and C-3P0 regains control of himself, and he and R2-D2 take a job with an Ithorian, though R2-D2 expresses regrets at not being able to join with the other droids in living free.
