A team of Mistryl shadow guards led by Manda D'ulin and Shada D'ukal agrees to take a job offered by an Imperial scientist to provide covert cover during the transport of something called "Hammertong". As the team recons the operation, they are attacked by Imperial security forces who kill Manda and another member of the team. Now in charge, Shada orders an assault as payback instead of a retreat, and they end up stealing the very item they were meant to protect. Fleeing to Tatooine, they crash in the desert and decide to hire freighter transport in Mos Eisley to return it to their base of operations. Impersonating Brea and Senni Tonnika, Shada and Karoly D'ulin go to Chalmun's cantina to find a pilot with a ship, but after the altercation between Han Solo and Greedo, they are arrested by someone who thought he had the Tonnika sisters. In the holding cell they are eventually freed by a Rebel agent who knows what they stole, and he gets them back to their ship where they learn that the Hammertong is part of the main weapon for the Death Star Mark 2. They take part of the weapon and leave the rest behind for whoever finds it, only to learn that the rebel agent who rescued them, also stole their droid with the readouts of the weapon.
