On Naboo, an old, dying sando aqua monster ends up beached after being hunted by a couple of opee sea killers. As it lands on the beach, it breaks open a hidden underground facility, bringing a dark secret to light. Elsewhere, Lieutenant Panaka receives several injuries to his face while apprehending a Gungan criminal. The Gungan is turned over to Senator Palpatine's representative, Sate Pestage, and Panaka is given a break by being assigned traffic duty around the beached monster. As he is directing the sparse traffic, someone rams his speeder so he gives chase and the two of them end up in the rock caverns beneath the monster. Panaka becomes the captive of a man who calls himself Veermok and is forced into the facilities tunnels at gunpoint. A security laser turret attacks, and as the two of them are trying to get around it, the monster's arm comes crashing through the ceiling, sending Panaka into the water below and letting him get his gun back. As Veermok tries to escape, Panaka stops him with his grappling device. Just as he is about to be arrested though, Pestage shows up and kills Veermok, commending Panaka on a job well done. Panaka recommends to his captain that they investigate the facility, but it is too late as it is destroyed by N-1 starfighters.
