Chapter One
Darca Nyl is on the trail of someone named Lycan, and he's tracked him to an Outer Rim world. After handing over his blaster, the first thing he sees is some local toughs assaulting a young boy. Nyl tells them to stop, and when they don't, he pulls out a lightsaber and forces them to stop. The local leader persuades Nyl to help him save his kidnapped daughter in exchange for Lycan's destination. He does so, and sets his destination for Molavar.

Chapter Two
Darca Nyl catches a freighter bound for Molavar, but they crash on another world because the crew thought they could jump him and steal all his money and belongings. While moving across the world, looking for a way off of it, he finds a woman being chased by a man on a speeder. After rescuing her he finds out her name is Jaren and her brother is Ament. After spending some time with them he discovers the truth. Ament killed 30 people in a rage once and went to jail for it. After spending 6 years in jail, his sister broke him out and they were running when Darca intervened. Darca turns them in, and finds passage off the world after Lycan again.

Chapter Three
Darca Nyl finally made it to Molavar, to find out that Lycan had killed a group of gamblers in a bar and then left for another planet in the same system. He discovered the planet relatively easily and then began tracking Lycan. He came through a farm where Lycan had been three days before he got there, and is getting ready to move on, when a local member of a criminal gang shows up demanding protection money. Nyl steps in to defend the farmers, which makes the criminals angry, so they leave, vowing to return. Nyl leaves the next morning to follow Lycan, leaving the farmers to fend for themselves. The criminals arrive, and the farmers are prepared for a final defense, when Darca arrives with a large group of nomads who help to drive off the criminals. It put him a few days further behind, but at least he had helped several people.

Chapter Four
Darca Nyl has finally caught up with Lycan. He has a chance to kill Lycan with a blaster shot to the head, but he doesn't want it to end like this so he runs ahead to set up a rendezvous. Lycan catches up but before he kills Nyl, he wants to know why Nyl has been following him. Through a flashback, we learn that Darca Nyl was once a mercenary, but he fell in love and left it all behind. His wife died in childbirth, and he was left to raise his son on his own. One day a ship crashed near his home, so he went to see what it was. A Jedi had been transporting a dangerous man named Lycan to Coruscant for trial, when Lycan forced them to crash and then escaped. The Jedi gave Nyl his lightsaber before he died and told him to go protect his son, but Nyl arrived too late and Lycan had already killed his son. Ever since then, he had been chasing Lycan. Lycan memories come back to him as he hears his name, and Darca Nyl sets off the explosives he had planted before Lycan arrives. Lycan is killed, Nyl barely escapes with his life, and vows to help people to prove Lycan wrong.
