Luke Skywalker and his friends Deak and Windy enjoy racing speeders in their free time. One day Gorm Maldorf, who is a bit of a bully and doesn't play fairly, challenges Luke to a race and Luke accepts. The next morning, Luke shows up to the race course early to get a bit of practice before the race. He finds Gorm lying in the middle of the course, apparently strangled by his own scarf. Gorm's Rodian friend, Chester, sees Luke standing over Gorm's body and accuses him of murder. Luke escapes with the help of his friends and spends the night in a cave with Ben Kenobi. Ben listens to what Luke has to say and then tells him to listen to his heart. The next morning, Luke returns to the race course with the solution to the mystery. Apparently, Gorm arrived early, and with the help of Chester, tried to sabotage the race with a barely visible wire. A misunderstanding led to Gorm dying at the hands of his friend, who was eager to pin it on someone else.
