Sith Master Finn and his apprentice are leaving an unnamed planet when they come across a Toydarian mistreating his slave. Finn's apprentice reaches down to help the slave, and when the Toydarian calls him a slave the apprentice kills him. Finn and his apprentice leave, but the slave girl follows them. They all end up at the top of tall building where Finn's ship is parked. Finn turns around and tells the girl that he has no need for a slave and he already has an apprentice, so she turns around and pushes Finn's apprentice off the building. She then joins Finn on his ship, as his new apprentice.

There is no date given for this story, but we know it doesn't take place around Darth Bane or Darth Plageuis. Until we hear differently, I've placed it roughly half-way between the two times.
