Han Solo is on Socorro following a treasure map he won in a Sabacc game, when he is attacked by a swoop gang. Just as it appears he is about to meet his end, Quinlan Vos steps out and saves his life. They have a brief discussion about the Force as they are running from the swoopies, consisting of Han's disbelief in the Force and Vos' not saying anything to contradict him. In the end, Han's life is saved by Vos' use of the Force, and then Vos erases Han's memory of this in order to protect his own identity.
