Darth Maul: Saboteur
James Luceno
Darth Maul: Saboteur
Cover Artist: David Stevenson
This short story of Darth Maul was much more satisfying to me than "Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter". In this story, Maul is sent to a remote planet to disrupt the mining of Lommite in order to give the Trade Federation more power to set up for the events of "Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace" . While there, he behaves much as any young Jedi would behave; making the occasional minor mistake and modifying his plans in order to succeed at his mission. We are also given a potential reason for why Hath Monchar turns traitor against the Trade Federation and the Sith in "Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter" near the end of this story.
