This is the story of Yaddle's early life as a Jedi Padawan. A century after being sealed up in the pit, Yaddle has committed the lessons of her deceased Master to heart, achieved unity with the Force and taught herself combat skills in order to protect herself from predators. The people living in the world around the pit had been reduced to a primitive state but some still brought her food, and so she survived.

This is a passable story that tells of the hardships that one person faced as a result of the actions of those around them, as well as how some one can stay strong in the face of adversity.
