Aayla Secura has passed all the standard trials necessary for becoming a Jedi Knight, and she is now waiting for the final test. She and her master, Tholme, are on Ryloth when the heir to the Secura clan is kidnapped. In an effort to stop the kidnappers before they leave the planet, Tholme is captured, leaving Aayla and her former master Quinlan Vos to rescue both him and the child.

The art in this book stands as one of my favorites, and the story is well done also. John Ostrander has a gift for storytelling, as is evidenced by the fact that he has been asked to write quite a few of the Dark Horse stories. All told, this is a good book.
