Bink Kitik and her identical twin sister Tavia are running a con against a man named Cristoff, hoping to rob him of his jewels on a pleasure cruise. Bink meets him for dinner and dancing wearing a mesh suit designed to find any keys kards on his body and copy them. While eating she manipulates him into eating the falpas sauce, and then they dance. After she returns to her room, they scan her dress to find a card in his hip pocket, but they learn that he is more clever than they gave him credit for. It is designed to alert ships security if it is used on his stateroom door. Further scanning reveals the correct card hidden elsewhere, and they are ready for the next stage of the plan. The last night of the cruise, before the ship docks at Kailor V, Tavia takes her sisters place distracting Cristoff while Bink breaks into his suite. In his room she finds the safe and scans the keypad for traces his sweat that was altered slightly by the falpas sauce. That gave her the keys he hit for the combination and a quick check of his history revealed his password, so she opened the safe. taking just a few moderate sized jewels to avoid trackers, she made a mess of the contents of the safe and then made sure Cristoff wouldn't open it again. First she made it so that only the ship's purser could open the safe, then she drained the power cell running the safe, and then she reset the purser's password to something else. She returned to her room, where she waited for her sister. She got away with enough for about a month's worth of living, and they moved on to wait for their next score.
