Wondering if Celeste Morne is still alive, Darth Vader sends a Star Destroyer to the moon where he abandoned her almost 20 years before. Stormtroopers are sent to the surface where they crash and are turned to Rakghouls. Deciding that she can serve a purpose to him, he has his newest servant, Wyl Tarson, plant clues in the Alliance's information network about an abandoned Imperial weapon on a distant moon. While the Alliance sends a force to Ansion to assist there, they send Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo to verify the reports. As they land, they are attacked by the army of Rakghouls, and Han is forced to take off, abandoning Luke, Leia and the old clone trooper Able. Luke fights his way to the cave he is being herded towards, where he encounters Celeste, who is out of control after her years alone with the spirit of Karness Muur. As she and Luke duel, Leia attempts to disable her, so she turns on her, only to be fended off by Able, come to protect the Princess. In her rage, she converts Able with the plague, but as she considers what to do with Luke and Leia, Muur compels his Talisman to leave Celeste and inhabit Luke. Leia pushes him out of the way and the Talisman takes her instead, but Celeste, seeing clearly after a long time, takes the Talisman back and boards Luke's transport ship with her Rakghouls. As Luke and Leia are rescued by Han, Celeste leaves the moon to explore the galaxy. As she flies by the Star Destroyer that is tasked to watch, she converts the crew to Rakghouls, which causes them to crash on the moon while she makes her escape.
