As another firefight breaks out in the Mos Eisley Cantina, Sam Heggs leaves. Walking down the street, he sees the bounty hunter Jeet Travis in an alley, and offers him a grumph egg in exchange for a sip of Vaschean rye. Jeet asks for proof that it's a real grumph egg, and Sam tells him the story. He was on Nimba 5, when he came upon a nest of grumph eggs. He then sees a strange jungle and a young man being chased by a grumph. Going to help the young man, he discovers that the man can hear him but can't see him, and it all appears as an illusion to him. He then has an idea, and runs around destroying as many grumph eggs as he can until the jungle fades away. Heggs explains that the young man was him, and that by killing all the grumph eggs in the present he somehow prevented the grumph in the past to never be born. Jeet takes back his now empty drink, and Hegg gives him the grumph egg which Jeet discovers tastes like battery acid.
