Be Still My Heart: The Bartender's Tale
David Bischoff
Be Still My Heart: The Bartender's Tale
Cover Artist: Stephen Youll
On his way to work on the fateful day when Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker hired Han Solo, Wuher was accosted by a hidden culinary droid hiding from Jawas. Regardless of how it begged, he was immune to its pleas, and he continued on his way. Arriving at the cantina, he proceeded to test the results of his distillery, hoping it would be what he needed to win fame as Jabba the Hutt's favorite drink mixer. Tasting his concoction, he was disappointed to learn that it wasn't quite right, so he continued upstairs to serve drinks. While working he was accosted by Greedo, who accused him of being unable to mix a quality drink, but under it all, Wuher detected a smell that caused him to reflect on the droid back in the alley. After dealing with old men with lightsabers, missing limbs and stormtroopers, his reverie is broken by the death of the same Greedo who had been so rude to him. Getting excited, he asked his assistant to tend bar and make sure Greedo's body remained where it was while he went back to retrieve the droid in the alley. Braining a Jawa in order to claim the droid, they then returned to the basement of the cantina, where he used Greedo's remains to provide the final ingredient in the drink that would be perfect for the Hutt.
