Luke Skywalker, Lando Calrissian are being chased through the streets of Ventooine when the duck into a ruined temple and are shocked to see a statue of Han Solo. A monk named Vetter Piin approaches and tells the story of the savior of his people who was there about 5 and a half years before. He touches a memory stone for them so they can hear the events in Han's own words. When it is done, Luke has come up with a way to eliminate the stormtroopers chasing them. They record a message in a memory stone and put it in the suspended animation chamber that the Satab's occupy, and as the troopers enter, they too enter suspended animation. They leave Ventooine without having recovered the Shadeshine, but feeling richer for knowing a story of Han Solo's past.
