With their stolen TIE Fighters, the Rebels are ready to launch an attack against the secret Imperial armada that is transporting a Teezl to Imperial Center. Luke Skywalker, Shira Brie, Alph and Thorben are the pilots picked to infiltrate the armada, and after stealing the recognition codes, they infiltrate surprisingly easily. They move to their positions and begin their assault, causing significant damage and confusion in just a few minutes. When the admiral realizes what is happening, he causes the Teezl to jam all communications bands except for authorized Imperial ones, and Alph is destroyed almost immediately. Luke decides that it's time to finish his mission and moves to destroy the Teezl. Before he can do so, another TIE Fighter moves into his firing path and he uses the Force to determine that the other pilot means him harm and destroys it. After destroying the enclosure housing the Teezl, he makes his escape to Arbra where he learns that the TIE he shot down was Shira's TIE. Finding himself shunned because he killed a well loved rebel pilot, he and Chewbacca take the Millennium Falcon to Shira's home planet of Shalyvane to learn why the Force would urge him to kill an ally. On Shalyvane, Luke and Chewie find themselves captives of the barbarian nomads that destroyed Shira's home city. They learn that humans never lived on Shalyvane and that the Empire was the culprit behind the destruction of the city. At the sacred spot where Shira paid her respect by spilling a bit of blood, Luke does the same and is startled to see a hologram of Darth Vader telling him that Shira was his agent and her job was to kill or discredit Luke. Luke now knows the truth, but without proof he'll never clear his name so he and Chewie then travel to the Imperial Data Vault on Krake's Planet. They infiltrate the Vault and get the data they need but are interrupted by Imperial troops. Separated, Luke returns to the Falcon without the data and flies back to retrieve Chewie. He picks up Chewie and the leave followed by the destruction of the Vault, and as Luke laments the loss of the data, Chewie reveals that he was able to retrieve it after Luke left. Deep in the bowels of the Executor Darth Vader is informed that his agent, Shira Brie, was seriously wounded but she will recover thanks to the enhancements that the Empire gave her.
