While the Rebel Alliance is securing their new base on Arbra, Lando Calrissian feels a need to return to Cloud City and do what he can for the people still trapped there under Imperial rule. When he arrives though, he is surprised to find that it is almost completely abandoned. The only inhabitants are a deranged Lobot and an Imperial bomb squad led by governor Treece. When an explosion rocks Cloud City, Lando finds Treece and learns that the Ugnaughts sabotaged the facility by placing bombs all over the city. Working with Treece, Lando first fixes Lobot, who then proceeds to disable all the bombs. With the city in the clear, Treece pushes Lando off the side and Lobot takes a jet pack to save him. They end up on the surface of the planet where they encounter the Ugnaughts who planted the bombs. The king of the Ugnaughts explains that when Lando was forced to leave, the new Imperial governor treated them like slave labor in order to line his own pockets with credits. Agreeing to help them, Lando, Lobot and a team of Ugnaughts return to Cloud City where they find Luke Skywalker and Shira Brie engaged in combat with the Imperials. Together, they bluff Treece and his troopers into leaving by making it look like Cloud City is crashing. With the Imperial presence removed, the heroes return to the Rebel base on Arbra.
