The Rebel Alliance captures a damaged Imperial warbot, but as R2-D2 is scanning it he inadvertently causes it to become too damaged to scan. Luke decides to take the warbot to Kligson's Moon to be repaired so they can learn how to defeat it. Because of bad experiences with non-cyborgs, Kligson refuses to allow Luke to land on the station, but agrees to allow the warbot to land with R2-D2 and C-3PO. While there, one of Kligson's rescuees who still retains its original Imperial programming and uses spare parts of the damaged warbot to repair another one and attempt to take over the facility. Unbeknownst to him, Kligson does the same thing and eventually wipes out the Imperial sympathizers. C-3PO and R2-D2 leave the station with a full schematic of the warbot and Kligson takes his station and disappears to avoid further Imperial problems.
