A damaged Rebel blockade runner is limping along when it is assaulted by a modified Imperial probe droid that kills everyone on board and commandeers the ship. Luke Skywalker is out on a patrol when his X-wing is destroyed by the blockade runner. Using the Force to bring R2-D2 to him, Luke then boards the ship to find that everything about the ship is trying to kill him. Escaping from their assaulters, Luke and R2-D2 find the probe droid at the heart of the ship controlling everything, but before he can destroy it R2-D2 stops him and explains that the ships core is overloading and it is on a collision course with the Rebel fleet. Taking a chance, Luke attacks the ship and reveals his name. The probe droid then reverts to its original programming and begins to travel to the closest Star Destroyer to turn in Luke, but Luke escapes. Arriving back at its source, it is unable to stop the overload of the core and it explodes, taking the Star Destroyer with it.
