After an extensive search, Darth Vader finally learns that Luke Skywalker is the name of the Rebel who destroyed the Death Star and begins setting a trap for him. Later, on Yavin IV, a Sister Domina of the Order Of the Sacred Circle from the planet Monastery arrives and asks for Luke to join them and explain the Rebel's point of view to her leaders. Arriving at Monastery, they are attacked by a nocturnal predator that Luke then kills and then Luke comes face to face with the Empire's representative, Darth Vader. That evening, as Luke retires to his quarters, Vader meets with Sister Domina who is actually the sister of the supposedly dead Tagge brothers and is actually working with Vader. In orbit, the Millennium Falcon is boarded and Han Solo and Chewbacca are taken prisoner by Darth Vader's underling while Princess Leia hides. She then rescues Han and Chewie and inadvertently releases Baron Tagge who insists that they take him to the surface of the planet. Meanwhile on the planet, Luke has realized that this is a trap when Domina assumes control of her order and turns him over to Darth Vader so they can duel. The Millennium Falcon lands safely on the planet, but as Han destroys a couple pursuing TIE Fighters, Baron Tagge escapes and chases down Darth Vader only to be defeated easily by him. As Luke is stalking through the dueling field, he finally goes up against Darth Vader. He holds his own very well but he attempts to offer mercy at the end. Vader attacks him and is killed, but as he collapses it is revealed that it was Baron Tagge that was killed while covered by an illusion. Luke realizes that Darth Vader is far more powerful than him and so flees, leaving Vader with nothing to do but return to his ship. With their mission a failure, the team leaves the planet to fend for itself as they return to base.
