Rebel attacks against Imperial convoys have become increasingly bold. In order to solve the problem, Darth Vader is tasked with finding their base and stopping the attacks. The Executor captures a smart-mouth smuggler named Luca who is taking supplies into the base, and he agrees to help Vader get past the defenses. As they prepare to cross the last line of defenses, Luca realizes that he will die if Vader has no more use for him and so turns off the security codes, causing the TIE fighters and himself to be shot down. Luca wakes up and relates a story to the unconscious Vader about a toy he had when he was young that had no will of it's own and was eventually cast aside in favor of a new plaything. Using speeder bikes, Vader and Luca approach the base, fighting off all the defenses, but when Vader no longer needs Luca, he is thrown off like garbage. Vader destroys the base completely, leaving only Luca alive to show that he has a will of his own.
