After helping Luke Skywalker destroy the Death Star, Han Solo takes his reward and leaves to pay off Jabba the Hutt. On his way, he is hijacked by the pirate Crimson Jack who steals all the treasure Han is carrying. Han decides to lay low on the planet Aduba-3 where he helps escort a cyborg to his burial place and then accepts a job protecting a group of farmers from raiders. He assembles a crew of spacers who are down on their luck, and travels to the settlement. Hans crew is fighting valiantly, but they are losing until an old man calls forth an enormous beast who singlehandedly destroys the raiders, but also kills the old man. With the beast rampaging out of control, Han takes the lightsaber that belongs to one of his team and embeds it in the beast's chest. The lightsaber energy reacts with the beast's energy, resulting in the destruction of the beast. With the money earned from this adventure, Han and Chewie take the Millennium Falcon and leave Aduba-3.
