With Ysanne Isard hot on his trail, Sate Pestage decides the time has come for him to abandon the Imperial throne and make his way into hiding. In Rogue Squadron several of the pilots have begun to pair up, including the Quarren Nrin Vakil and the Mon Calamari Ibtisam. The pilots are all enjoying some much needed R & R when they are called in for the mission to extract Pestage from Ciutric. Isard calls on Dalek Krennel to recover Pestage, and even provides him with the Interdictor Cruiser Binder to make it easier. Rogue Squadron infiltrates Ciutric, and just when it looks like they are going to succeed, Krennel arrives and forces them into hiding. Rogue Squadron manages to remain in hiding until Wedge's friend Mirax Terrik to help them escape. The plan is to fly several decoys out while the X-wings cripple the Interdictor and cause it to retreat which will allow the entire force to escape to escape. It appears that the plan is working when they discover that Pestage isn't on any of the ships. He decided to attempt to bribe Krennel instead of hiding with non-humans, but Krennel decided simply to kill Pestage and take control of his planets.
