Cecil Noone is trying to sell a prototype Hapan Gun Of Command, and is unable to unload it anywhere. As a last resort he goes to a Krish hunter and collector named Viveca and tries to sell it to him. Before they get down to business, Viveca shows off his latest trophy, an adult male Lamproid. After Cecil makes his proposal, Viveca counters by telling Cecil that if he can make it off his property alive he will let him go free. After Cecil fails to return in a timely manner, his partners Kels Turkhorn, Hass Sonax, and Dawson decide to track him down and retrieve him. For his part, Cecil runs for his life, setting traps that fail and releasing a female Lamproid that nearly takes out Viveca. Eventually, Cecil's partners find him and they set a trap that eliminates both Viveca and a good portion of his hunting compound.
