Han Solo and Chewbacca are low on fuel and decide to stop on an uncharted planet to try and refuel. After they land and disembark, they hear the sound of a ship crashing and people screaming and immediately after they are set upon by what appears to be countless zombies. They escape to find that someone has cut their fuel line. The next morning, a local approaches them to explain that years ago, a colony ship left their planet. It experienced difficulties and had to return home, whereupon it got lost in the fog and crashed, killing all aboard. Ever since then, the dead have risen every night at the time they died, to haunt the living. Han has an idea to use their cargo of Tandgor Gems, which emit their own light, to create a landing field for the ghostly ship. That night when the crashing ship comes down, it sees the landing field and comes down safely. They decide to leave the gems there to help for further nights if the problem recurs, and they leave. Han complains to Chewbacca, "Sometimes it feels good to do things for people, and sometimes it feels good to get paid. One of these days I'd like to know how it feels to get both."
