Max Rebo, Sy Snootles, and Droopy McCool are on their way to Hoth for a gig. As they talk amongst themselves, each of them thinks one of the others set up the show, but in they soon discover that none of them did and they wonder who did it for them. As they get closer to Hoth, an automatic hologram activates, informing them that Jabba arranged this show for them. He wants them to play for Bingo Mehndra, a "close personal friend" of his for his spawning day celebration. As the band is preparing for their show, they discover explosives packed into all their speakers set on timers. In order to avoid meeting their maker, the band substitutes a holo-recording of one of their performances for the real deal and they make a quick escape before the explosives can "bring the house down".
