Following Celeste Morne's directions to go to Odryn, Jarael impersonates her and she and the Moomo brothers sneak Zayne and Gryph into the Covenant storage place, which just happens to be the Feeorin holy place, the Sanctum. While Zayne and Gryph document all the Sith artifacts stored within, Lucien Draay is appointed to the Jedi Council on Coruscant. While Zayne is on the Sanctum, he learns that a researcher is reporting the effect of the Sith artifacts to someone Haazen on Coruscant. With enough evidence recorded, They attempt to escape, but are caught by the other Feeorins who hold them until Feln of the Jedi Covenant arrives. Feln consults with Lucien who tells him that it worse comes to worst he should destroy the store house, but Haazen interrupts, telling them that the artifacts must remain unharmed and be brought to Coruscant. Feln moves to kill Zayne, but his people insist he follow their traditions and fight in unarmed combat. Zayne escapes, and Feln destroys the Sanctum rather than let the truth come out. He then stops Zayne but before he can kill him, he is killed by his own people for destroying their holy place. Disappointed that they have no evidence of the storehouse, Zayne is surprised to see that the Moomos smuggled some artifacts out, giving them the evidence they need to take to the Jedi Council. On Coruscant, the remainder of the Covenant learn of the death of another of their number so Lucien sends Xamar to advise Admiral Saul Karath in orbit, as they prepare for the arrival of Zayne.
