The Old Republic: Revan (Chapters 1-16)

The Old Republic: Revan (Chapters 1-16)
Cover Artist: ATTIK
Two years after the end of Darth Malak, Revan wakes from a dream of a world covered in perpetual storms. As the dreams continue, he decides that there must be some sort of danger to the Republic that his dreams are warning him of. He is convinced that whatever he and Malak encountered is what turned them from heroes of the Mandalorian War into conquerors claiming to be Sith. He recruits his old friend Canderous Ordo to help him, and along with his droid T3-M4, they set out to reclaim Revan's lost memories and prevent the approaching danger, leaving his pregnant wife, Bastila Shan, behind. They make their way to Rekkiad, where Revan hid Mandalore's Mask to prevent the Mandalorians from being a threat in the future, and join Clan Ordo in their search for the mask. Another dream points the way to where the mask was hidden, and Revan leads the clan to the location, revealing his true identity along the way. They find the mask and Canderous' wife, the leader of the clan, tries to kill them, but she is killed instead. Revan then explains that after he and Malak hid the mask, they viewed a holocube made by a Sith Lord that leads them to a planet called Nathema in their quest to protect the Republic. Leaving Canderous behind to rebuild his people so they can protect against a potential Sith attack, Revan and T3 move on to Nathema, where they are shot down. Meanwhile, on Dromund Kaas, the Sith homeworld, Lord Scourge is brought in to investigate two murder attempts against Darth Nyriss. His investigation takes him first to Hallion, where he learns that the plot was spearheaded by human separatists on Bosthirda. Following the trail to Bosthirda, he then learns that the separatists are funded by Darth Xedrix. Darth Nyriss then sets up an ambush so that Scourge is able to kill Xedrix. Nyriss then explains that the Sith Emperor is determined to take them to war with the Republic again, even though it would likely mean destruction for all of them. She then explains that the Emperor performed a ritual with many other Sith Lords on Nathema, a thousand years earlier. This ritual used all life and Force on the planet to give him immortality, leaving him the sole survivor. To prove her point, she takes him to Nathema where he can feel the void where the Force used to be, and he agrees to join her cause to overthrow the Emperor. As they are leaving Nathema, another ship enters the system, and they immediately shoot it down. Scourge searches the wreckage and finds the pilot unconscious, and Nyriss insists they take him with them, because she recognizes him. The last time she saw him, he was a prisoner of the Emperor.
