Saes Rrogon, the Sith captain of the dreadnaught Harbinger is under orders to deliver as much lignan as he can get to Naga Sadow in time for the battle at Kirrek. As he and captain Korsin of the Omen are loading the lignan found at Phaedon III into their cargo holds, Saes' former Jedi Master, Relin Druur, infiltrates the Harbinger to stop Saes from getting to Kirrek. Relin sabotages the hyperdrive to prevent the Sith from entering hyperspace before he is confronted by his former apprentice. Relin defeats Saes after getting his arm removed and attempts to retreat, but his new apprentice crashes their ship into the bridge of the Harbinger in an attempt to prevent the Sith's escape. As the Harbinger jumps to hyperspace something goes wrong, causing the ship to not quite enter hyperspace. Instead they approach the speed of light until Saes uses the lignan to return them to realspace more than 5000 years later.
