The Miralukan colony world of Katarr is devastated in an attack by Darth Nihilus with no known survivors. Unbeknownst to the rest of the galaxy, Nihilus spared Visas Marr and healed her wounds, but disfiguring her by leaving her with holes where her eyes would have been, had she been human. He makes her his apprentice and she comes to the conclusion that he wanted her people at last to see, and is using her as the tool to help them do so.
