After a few adventures together, Zayne Carrick and Camper decide to go their separate ways. Camper and Jarael leave the planet and just as they are about to move on, an assassin droid named HK-24 finds them and attempts to capture them. The Mandalorian Rohlan shows up in time to take out the droid, but Camper needs urgent medical attention. Zayne and Gryph leave the planet on a provisioning ship for the military that was stolen for them by a clumsy Trandoshan, and they immediately find themselves on the front lines of the Mandalorian war. They spend some time feeding the military until Zayne has a vision of the future where the Mandalorians drop nuclear bombs all over the planet. Zayne tells Gryph to pack up the ship and leave, while he stows away on Carth Onasi's ship in order to warn Admiral Karath. Unfortunately, Karath is too prideful and stubborn to take the warning, Gryph procrastinates too long. The Mandalorians arrive, and sure enough, they attack the surface of the planet.
