Jarael and Camper are on Telerath in disguise attempting to recover some of Gryph's frozen assets. As they are walking with their banker, two Ithorian bounty hunters named the Moomo brothers jump up, grab the banker and run. Zayne gives chase since this is the only way they are likely to get the operating funds they need, and is surprised to learn that the banker is his father Arvan. Back at their ship the brothers are berated by Raana Tey of the Jedi covenant, as they were only supposed to watch Arvan, not kidnap him. As Dob Moomo goes to a bar to drink, he is approached by Gryph who gets him drunk and tricks him into revealing the location of his ship, And Zayne goes to rescue his father. He arrives at the ship soon enough to hear that Raana Tey is going to have his father killed, which moves her up to the top of his list. He rescues his father and starts the brothers fighting, while they leave. Arvan finishes the transaction and reassures Zayne that his family believes he is either innocent or had a very good reason to do what he did. Zayne learns that the Draay Trust was behind his father's promotion, so suggests that he take the family and go to Dantooine to work with Vandar Tokare, who welcomes him with open arms.
