Zayne Carrick and his team are on Vanquo pulling off a con against some miners. They trick them into thinking the Mandalorians have arrived and are loading up what they are taking when the Mandalorians actually do show up. Jarael is immediately taken prisoner because she is swinging Zayne's lightsaber around, but the rest escape with a Mandalorian who is apparently deserting. Camper sends them after Jarael, who is being taken to Flashpoint where a Mandalorian named Demagol is experimenting on Jedi. The Mandalorian with Zayne introduces himself as Rohlan Dyre and claims he is looking for the truth about his people's invasion, because it doesn't make sense to him. On Flashpoint, Jarael meets a Jedi called Squint who has met Zayne before. He realizes she is no Jedi and so attempts to protect her, since she can't survive most of the tests Demagol is performing. Soon, the Last Resort arrives and Rohlan takes Zayne in to Demagol and subdues him. Zayne dresses in Demagol's armor and the two of them sabotage the base, leading all the Mandalorians to retreat in order to avoid death in the planet's destructive day. They free the Jedi and Rohlan agrees to go with the Jedi to where he will be safe as they take Demagol for trial. Squint tells Jarael to call him Alek as the Jedi leave and Rohlan sneaks off their ship and back onto the Last Resort.
